Starting from her birth in Kashmir , India . A self taught artist in real sense was born with artistic skills. She has been painting since the age of two.

In 1998 she started studying and experimenting art in various forms. After five years of deep study, maximum by self educating process, has made her a confident artist.

Born Figurative Artist

Neelam, a figurative artist mostly paints full figure, prefers working with oil colours on canvas.

In her technique she uses the colour with right procedure, so that her paintings can be saved from cracking, which means long life.

Her painting looks thinly painted and soft, to get this effect she use layers of colour on canvas. Obviously it takes her a lot of time to finish the painting. In her signature style, the look is very modern and contemporary.

Versatile Artist

Earlier, Neelam used to paint in various styles by playing with different mediums and strokes. Now when she has moved on to her style, still some times she paints differently for a change. It keeps her passion live for art.

It's abstract now

With time she felt the beauty of abstract art with her heart and soul. Transformation of thoughts into abstract was natural. For that she does not require to play on big canvas, rather she plays on small frames. The style in her paintings are subtle and soothing.

Sometimes, she takes break and presents her imagination with bright colours for a creative change. Exactly the way she is.

She has been participating in selective group shows in India . Her first solo exhibition titled " River of Colours " was in Bahrain in December' 2002. Second solo exhibition titled "See me, I am Life" was held at Delhi in India in October'2003.

Her collectors have been from all over the world. She was commissioned to paint four big size paintings for the lobby of a five star hotel "Move & Pick" at Bahrain International Airport
